Opinions on nut slot height needed

nut height question - Discussion Forums nut slot height Not sure of a measurement, I just bring down the slot height just to where the intonation on the first fret is good That usually leaves nut slot depth Weird? What's weird about it? The height of the top of the nut really has no bearing on anything except aesthetics

nuts and bolts slot 3 to 4 I don't know in inches sorry And as for string height at the nut, I usually hold down the string at the3rd
